Fair question. I founded The Social Boutique six years ago as a boutique marketing agency, and the name came from that. Over time the model evolved. The work I do best is senior strategy on a small number of accounts at a time, with a small senior team of 2 executing under my direction. That's not really how a traditional agency operates, and it's not really how a freelancer operates either. The name stuck because the business is still small and considered, even though the structure has shifted.
